Published on: 2025-11-21 00:00

On November 21st, the 4th International AEM Water Electrolysis Hydrogen Production and Electrolytic Cell Key Technology Annual Conference was grandly held in Shanghai. At the meeting, Anhui Polyrocks Hydro-friend Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Polyrocks Hydro-friend") and Hefei Momentum Conservation Green Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Momentum Conservation") officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Both parties will fully leverage their respective technological advantages in anion exchange membranes and "multi in one" integrated electrodes, and engage in deep cooperation in material innovation, product collaboration, and market expansion to jointly promote the localization process of high-performance and low-cost electrolytic cell core materials and devices, and help the clean energy industry achieve leapfrog development.

1Strategic Cooperation: Polyrocks Hydro-friend&Momentum Conservation

During the collaboration, Xie Zhoubing, Director of Momentum Conservation Technology, stated that "Polyrocks Hydro-friend is an innovative benchmark in the field of AEM materials in China, and its independently patented anion exchange membrane and ionomer products fill the industry gap. This cooperation will fully leverage the technological synergy between both parties and provide more competitive solutions for downstream customers

Zhu Hongfang, General Manager of Jushi Hydrogen Friends, emphasized that the technological strength of momentum conservation in the porous transport layer, electrodes, and integrated components of electrolytic cells is highly complementary to our company's AEM material system. The cooperation between the two parties will connect the key links of 'materials devices systems' and help improve the overall performance of AEM electrolytic cells

Looking towards the future, both sides will work together, fully relying on the comprehensive advantages of Chinese research and development and Chinese manufacturing, committed to providing leading AEM solutions for the global hydrogen production industry, and taking practical actions to help achieve the "dual carbon" strategic goals.

2、 Breaking through industry pain points, Polyrocks Hydro-friend brings efficient and stable new ideas to AEM electrolyzed water!
At the meeting, Xu Ming, Quality Manager of Polyrocks Hydro-friend, gave a speech titled "Exploring the Boundaries and Potential of AEM Durability Tips", which deeply analyzed the current development status and challenges of AEM electrolysis water hydrogen production technology, and shared the company's exploration and practice in technological innovation and AEM life stability.

In the journey of AEM electrolysis water technology towards a higher lifespan, our focus cannot be solely on the core component - the EM membrane. The impact of other factors on the final lifespan of the electrolysis cell should also not be underestimated. Xu Ming shared and summarized the following key issues.

Electrode challenge: dual challenges of catalyst activity failure and insufficient adhesion

Currently, whether using CCS or CCM routes to prepare membrane electrodes, catalyst activity failure is more common. Catalysts are the "power source" for the electrolysis of water, and a decrease in activity can cause a sudden drop in reaction rate. In order to maintain hydrogen production, the electrolysis cell experiences a surge in voltage, which affects system stability. Insufficient adhesion is equally challenging. The adhesion between the layers of the membrane electrode is not tight, and the catalyst is prone to detachment during operation, resulting in increased contact resistance, decreased electrolysis efficiency, and increased energy consumption. To address these issues, Polyrocks Hydro-friend has launched a specialized catalyst for the preparation of catalytic layers Polyelectrolyte solution(AEMemr ®- PAI-1-5E)。 This product combines efficient ion conductivity with excellent durability, making it easy to efficiently agglomerate and assemble with various catalysts. While ensuring smooth material transport channels, it effectively avoids the detachment of the catalytic layer. Its performance has been validated in the market and has been widely praised by customers. We sincerely invite you to test and experience!

Efficient and stable: perfect combination opens up a new era of AEMWE

Polyelectrolyte solution AEMemr ®- PAI-1-5E and high-strength anion exchange membrane AEMemr ®- The PAW-1-60 combination provides an efficient and stable solution for AEMWE.

The long-term constant current operation test shows that the voltage growth rate of this combination is less than 10 μ V/h, indicating excellent long-term stability. In terms of electrolysis efficiency, dynamic response, and long-term stability, the poly (acrylic acid) AEM membrane performs outstandingly, setting a new benchmark in the industry.

3、 Company Introduction
